I had a vision for a medical spa practice that integrates a healthy life with amazing skincare, medical aesthetics, nutrition, vitamins, all of it! A tall order, I know! I wanted to create a place where people would feel comfortable and listened to - a place that I could practice the kind of high-quality medicine and aesthetics that I could never find for myself. To us "galvanize" means to spur, electrify, incite and change physically, mentally and emotionally. Galvanic is the place where I am creating a new paradigm for skin health and wellness, and I want you to join me on this journey.

Our Practice

We've tried to create the Galvanic experience to be easy and accessible for our clients. We offer online booking, direct access to our Nurse Practitioner, Jessica Doto via text message and flexible scheduling to accommodate your busy life.

We are not a conventional "medspa" (sorry, no fuzzy robe and slippers on arrival). The office atmosphere is casual and inviting - you won't find a cold examination table here! What we do offer is a targeted exam that focuses on your concerns, a plan that meets your needs and a provider-patient relationship that will last.

Meet The Team

Jessica Barfield Doto, APRN, NP-C

Owner and Founder

Jessica is the founder of Galvanic and the primary medical provider of our practice. She is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. She is nationally board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Jessica has been in the medical field since 1988 in various roles, from EMT, to ER Nurse, to Flight Nurse, to Hospitalist, to ICU Intensivist. Since 2006, she has been certified in medical aesthetics, with a successful part-time practice in NJ for many years. She is credentialed as Affiliate Medical Staff at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY.

Francesca Figueiredo

Lic. Esthetician and Medical Assistant

Francesca is a graduate of the Capri Institute in Brick, NJ, and holds her Esthetician license in both NY and NJ. She has taken advanced training courses in radio frequency, dermabrasion, and medical-grade peels. She is a certified PCA Skin Provider and is focused on customized skin evaluations and treatment, as well as developing skincare regimens to bring home that complements in-office procedures. Francesca enjoys the art of makeup application and teaching others how to create makeup looks for themselves. Her skincare experience for the last 4 years has been primarily in the medical aesthetics environment. She also assists with daily operations of the practice, concept planning, and service development.
